The Pantelho Throw is hand-woven on a backstrap loom in three panels and then expertly embroidered together. A neutral color palette is perfect for any room or on a picnic in a meadow. Hand-woven by a cooperative of women in Chiapas, Mexico. 56” x 70” 100% Cotton. Machine was on cold, hang dry. Because it is handcrafted, slight variations are the norm. Ethically made.
The 30 women of the Pantelho Weaving Coops use traditional backstrap looms that are worn around the hips. This allows that each panel be only as wide as the weaver’s hips wearing the loom. Each piece is thus a unique expression of the weaver. After each panel is woven, the Pantelho artisans hand stitch the panels together to create one-of-a-kind, durable throws.
